This workshop-based program aims to support Tasmanian artists to learn about public art and develop the skills required to successfully deliver public art commissions under the Tasmanian Government Art Site Scheme, which is a major source of government investment in the visual arts in Tasmania.
Successful applicants will receive funding of $4,000 towards development activities and must attend six workshop sessions in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie between August 2025 and June 2026. Attendance must be in person.
These workshops will feature insights and knowledge from industry professionals and include opportunities for active learning and engagement for participants.
Up to 20 Tasmanian artists will be supported to participate in the program, including at least two Tasmanian Aboriginal artists.
