Cultural heritage organisations - multi-year

This program offers multi-year support to moveable cultural heritage organisations to deliver the Tasmanian Government objectives outlined in the Cultural and Creative Industries Recovery Strategy: 2020 and beyond.

These organisations will play a leading role in preserving Tasmania’s moveable cultural heritage by:

  • developing and sharing high-quality cultural heritage activities
  • creating opportunities for Tasmanian volunteers and museum professionals
  • demonstrating strong and strategic leadership for the sector
  • developing the overall capacity of the sector
  • supporting and progressing diversity and inclusion within the sector
  • building partnerships that strengthen the sustainability of the sector
  • connecting with and inspiring audiences, and the wider community.

Applicants must also meet Arts Tasmania’s general eligibility requirements.

  • privately owned collections
  • federal government collections
  • Tasmanian Government Business Enterprises and Tasmanian Government Departments
  • non-cultural heritage organisations or cultural heritage organisations with no physical presence in Tasmania

  • organisations in receipt of administered funding or direct support from the Tasmanian Government (this includes the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Ten Days on the Island, the Theatre Royal Management Board, the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery and West Coast Heritage Limited).
I confirm that I have read and understood the eligibility requirements for this program. * Required

To be considered for multi-year support, your organisation will need to complete this simple form to check eligibility.

This form asks for:

  • basic organisational and contact details
  • information about your organisation’s governance structure (including a list of all board or committee members and a basic skills matrix)
  • a copy of your organisation’s most recent fully signed audited financial reports.

Arts Tasmania will use this information to determine whether your organisation:

  • is legally formed and solvent
  • has an appropriate governance structure
  • has a track record of securing income from non-Tasmanian Government sources.

If these requirements are met, your organisation will be invited to submit a full application. This process should take one to two weeks.

You will not need to include any of the information provided in the eligibility check as part of your organisation's application.
