The Tasmanian Contemporary Music Fund supports Tasmanian musicians whose engagements have been cancelled due to COVID-19.
Organisations in receipt of administered funding from the Tasmanian Government (including the Theatre Royal Management Board) are not eligible to apply for support package funds.
All other applicants must meet Arts Tasmania’s general eligibility requirements.
Applications are limited to one per applicant.
Contemporary music is defined as music that is currently being written, recorded and performed by Australians. Genres include (but are not be limited to) blues, country, electronic/dance, experimental, folk, funk, hip hop, jazz, metal, pop, rock, roots, and world music.
Activities can include recording, mixing and mastering costs, and filming or creating a music video.
All activities and projects must take place in Tasmania.
The fund is designed to support Tasmanian musicians working with other Tasmanian artists and production professionals.
You can apply for up to $15 000.
The program has a total pool of funding of $250 000.
Applications will be assessed by a multi-artform panel of peer assessors drawn from the Cultural and Creative Industries Expert Register.
