Applications are sought from lighting artists and designers to create an artwork which explores the role of light as a medium for bringing people and communities together.
Hobart College is undertaking a major refurbishment of its theatre building, which lies at the heart of college life. The college sees light as a key medium with which to represent the central role of the performing arts on campus.
There is an opportunity for the artist to repurpose superseded theatre lighting equipment for inclusion in the artwork.
This commission is open to Tasmanian artists only.
