Public art - Lansdowne Crescent Primary School (074551)

Submissions closed at midnight 4 November 2019 (AEDT).

Lansdowne Crescent Primary School is a hub for the West Hobart community, with an inquiry-based teaching philosophy and strongly values engagement with the art.

Applications are sought for outdoor artwork which promotes curiosity, imagination and discovery as part of a major upgrade to its learning facilities.

Any artform may be proposed, as long as the work addresses the Artist’s Brief, and the school encourages works which highlight or respond to the natural environment. The successful artist will work with the architect, landscape architect and the school to jointly create an integrated and creative place.

A shortlist will be established to meet with artists and refine initial concepts.

This commission is open to Tasmanian artists only.
