Arts Tasmania invites submissions from Tasmanian artists to create graphic artworks for glass windows and doors in the newly refurbished Brighton Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
The project team is seeking proposals for an artwork that promotes a calm and welcoming environment. The artwork will obscure the building's windows, facilitating necessary privacy in the centre’s consultation rooms. It will also be a prominent visual feature; viewable from both outside and inside the building.
The artwork will need to appeal to the key age demographic and be sensitive to issues surrounding mental health. Many people using the service may be experiencing high levels of anxiety and stress. The artwork will play a vital role as a positive and calming element in the space.
